Since my childhood, I have been deeply shaped by numerous travels, constantly discovering new countries, landscapes, atmospheres, sensations, impressions that have strongly nourished my imagination and my creativity...
I have always navigated between real travels and fantasized ones. As a child and teenager, I created comics in order to tell fabulous stories through an abundance of drawings and multicultural characters who have always remained my paper friends. It was a means of escape.
This desire to paint imposed itself on me very early on, it was a real necessity to question and express myself on subjects such as origins, roots, cultural richness around the world, the spiritual mystery of the peoples. (or the spiritual practices of the peoples).
Every place I have lived and the world I have evolved in has always inspired me.
At the same time, I started a career as an art teacher, which made me enthusiastic about the role of transmitting my passion to my students.
Through this text, I wish to pay tribute to two men who have deeply inspired me by their humility, their wisdom, their great talent and their generosity. They are Firoz Ghanty and Emmanuel Lepage, a visual artist, painter, philosopher, writer and poet, and an outstanding draughtsman, author, scriptwriter and watercolorist.
It is thanks to Firoz that the adventure of the exhibitions began, it is him who encouraged and supported me in my first exhibitions, he had the role of a mentor for me and I owe him a lot.
Emmanuel Lepage gave me the chance to improve my work in comics, he was a precious teacher and pedagogue, his generous advice helped me to better understand certain essential notions in art and it is with a lot of friendship and gratitude that I write these few lines.
Strength, will and achievement are linked to the encouragement and transmission of exceptional people.
For more than twenty years I have had numerous exhibitions in Mauritius, Paris, Tahiti, Singapore, Amsterdam and Luxembourg.
For the past 11 years, I have had the opportunity to express myself on the cultural richness of this city-state. Today, I'm coming back to a subject that is close to my heart: "The swimming pool", a place of well-being, introspection and calm where you can relax in a refined, elegant and refreshing decor.
This subject has not ceased to inspire me...
Over the course of the last three and a half years, a new collection has emerged, inspired by the various Dutch landscapes I have come to know, living the Netherlands.
